UNLOCK YOUR CHILD'S FULL POTENTIAL

Help your child access the curriculum through their ears.

Katie has created a brand new EYFS and KS1 audio lesson membership for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, who are 3 to 7 years old.  Simply put, this is your child's all-in-one support system, designed to help and support their learning.

We have been working hard over the last few weeks to create fun and educational bitesize audio lessons (think “Remarkable Reptiles” and “Super Senses!”) and we're so excited to finally share it with you.

It's ready for you now for just £6 per month.

I'VE TAKEN AWAY THE STRAIN AND FRUSTRATION.

Why has Katie created audio lessons for little ones?

Ever since we heard our youngest son Freddie was showing signs of being dyslexic, I knew that we had to create a huge bank of audio lessons for him and children like him.  Being dyslexic, Freddie, much prefers to listen to things rather than read them. He doesn't really read for pleasure as he finds the whole process really quite difficult but he is a sponge for knowledge.  He wants to learn!

To put simply, because of our eldest son Bass and our youngest son, Freddie.  They are both dyslexic and Bass in particular really doesn't like reading.  He never has liked it and I'm not surprised - he finds the process so difficult, almost physically painful at times and because of this, he's never read for pleasure.  In fact, I honestly think he would prefer to take his eyeballs out than read.

We've noticed he absolutely LOVES listening to us read to him.  At the moment Freddie is listening to The BFG by Roald Dahl so like our eldest dyslexic son he seems to read with his ears.  Ok he struggles to read books but if that book were on an audio CD or in the shape of an audio lesson, he would devour it.  Like many SEN children, our son has so much potential if only there was a way to unlock the curriculum for him and for children like him.

Freddie absorbs information through his ears.  With this in mind I thought audio lessons would be utterly brilliant for him (and for children like him) to access the curriculum and to help and support them.  What if the whole curriculum was in audio form?  How fantastic would that be for our children?

Wow! Yes, please.
UNLOCKING THE CURRICULUM THROUGH MAX

A love of listening to us read.

Katie's audio lessons are both dyslexic-friendly and child-friendly.  I have coupled our son's enthusiasm for listening to stories on audio CD and his need to learn the National Curriculum together and have created a number of short stories involving a fantastic character called Max and through Max's adventures I am beginning to unlock the learning objectives already. *Don't worry, not all the audio lessons are short stories involving Max.

IMPROVED RESULTS AND CONFIDENCE

What are the benefits of audio lessons?

🗣️  Audio lessons uses the strengths of your child's auditory processing.  Some children like our eldest and youngest sons, who have dyslexia, have phenomenal auditory processing.  Providing them with audio lessons will help your child better understand and retain information when presented with it aurally rather than in written form.

🗣️  Reduced reading strain.  Dyslexic children find the process of reading really difficult.  Audio lessons allow dyslexic children to access information without the strain and frustration associated with reading difficulties.

🗣️  Reduces anxiety.  This is an important one for me.  Our eldest son experiences anxiety when he reads - it physically stresses him out.  Audio lessons help alleviate this anxiety by providing an alternative, non-threatening way to access and review information.

🗣️  Increases comprehension.  Listening to information can enhance comprehension for dyslexic learners.  Audio lessons allows your child to focus on understanding the content rather than struggling decoding written words.

🗣️  Better memory recall. Audio lessons help your child better recall key concepts and information.

🗣️  Improved results.  Our eldest son has been using our audio lessons since November and we have seen him achieve better results across all subjects.  He has had better end of unit marks, better vocabulary test marks and we have also noticed an overall improvement in his confidence and emotional wellbeing.

*Most notably, recently our son completed his end of year exams and got an A* in his English paper (90%), an A in his Biology paper (84%) and a B in his Geography paper (78%).  We used our audio lessons to help him revise.

What is covered in our audio curriculum?

We are beginning to create a bank of audio lessons for our EYFS and KS1 Audio Lesson Membership.  Eventually we would like to exhaust every single learning objective in the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 National Curriculum and so will be adding 3 to 4 new audio lessons every day until we get there.  Please have a look at what is covered already:
