About Katie

HELLO 👋, I'M KATIE.

I'm a mum of four.

I'm married to a 'Beetle' and we live in North Yorkshire.  I am a qualified teacher and in 2016 we started Katie's Classroom, an education and wellbeing company that provides pocket-size cards and online classrooms that cover the curriculum and your child's emotional wellbeing.  We are passionate about helping parents help their children and since launching we've helped over 40,000 families support their children both academically and emotionally. 

What's our why?

Our inspiration comes from our children, most notably our eldest son, Sebastian ('Bass'), who is autistic and dyslexic.  Every single product we create has Bass in mind - to try and make his life easier whether that be to understand the curriculum better or improve his confidence and self-esteem.  We re a HUGE advocate for children with special education needs.

How can we help you and your child?

We have a really wide range of pocket-size cards and an ever increasing list of online classrooms.  We have Curriculum Cards that cover the most important methods and terminology in the National Curriculum but also a really wide range of mental health cards like these Support Conversation Cards.  We have cards for children, teens and adults.

We also have Katie's Phonics Classroom and coming soon a Curriculum Classroom and Wellbeing Classroom that can all be accessed via a mobile app.

Katie's Maths videos are absolutely perfect for children in Year 3 up to Year 6 and preparing for the 11+.  Katie has filmed hundreds of bitesize maths videos covering all of the most important methods and terminology in the Maths National Curriculum. Your child can revise, recap and relearn in their own time, at their own pace.
